I live in a rather small town. There aren't many people who live here, and so as far as voting goes, you don't have to wait very long, usually.

For the first time ever, though, when my mother went to vote, she had to wait in a line. This morning, there was a line so long it looped around the entire high school (which is where the polls are). All sorts of people are there. Young, old, teachers, students... I wish so much that I could vote this time. This is just such an amazing election. Everyone seems so, so into it. The candidates have such strong support on both sides, and no matter who gets elected (my fingers are crossed for a certain democrat), changes are going to come.

It's kind of funny, if you think about it, that eight years of a terrible president has led to such hope and excitement for this election. It's because things can really change for the better. We have hit what would seem to be rock bottom: the world hates us, we're at war in multiple places, the world economy has gone down the drain...

I really, really, really, really, REALLY want something good to come of this election. So, fingers crossed. We're all waiting on baited breath for the outcome, and whatever it may be, I hope it's the right one for the world. Not just for America — for the world.
